How to Install/Pair a Smart Smoke Detector

  • Open the battery compartment of the device. 

  • Start the search in the app

  • Plant the enclosed battery into the device and close the lid. 

  • The Smart Smoke Detector  will start searching (up to 15 minutes) for a network to join.

  • While searching for a network, the LED button on the back of the Smoke Alarm is flashing.

      2. Follow the reset routine

  • Click configure on the Smart Smoke Detector after scanning for new devices

  • Add a device name

  • Add the device to a room

    • Select the room you want from the list or add a new room

  • Enter details for security sensor

    • Add the application:


        1.  Security

  • Enter details for temperature sensor

    • Add the application: Climate control


        1. Heating

        2. Cooling

Resetting is needed if you want to connect your Smart Smoke Detector  to another gateway or if you need to perform a factory reset to eliminate abnormal behaviour.

STEPS FOR RESETTING 

1. Hold a screw or similar metal covering the "reset button" and hold until the LED flashes continuously

2. Release the button. 

3. Resetting process is complete when the LED starts to blink.

Faults/Modes:

  • If the search for a gateway has timed out, pull out the battery and insert it again

  • If the smoke sensor does not work when the test button is pushed, the probable cause is a faulty battery. Replace the battery if it is worn out. 

  • In case of a bad or weak signal, change the location of the smoke sensor. Otherwise you can relocate your gateway or strengthen the signal with a smart plug. 

  • Dust particles in the smoke chamber can be removed by vacuuming the mesh.

  • High humidity condensing can be resolved by drying the smoke sensor.
